The current app design launched in 2013, before features like night mode, RAW photography, slo-mo and the new functions existed. I can’t help but think Apple has also crammed so many new features into the Camera app in recent years that the software needs a cleanup. Photographic Styles is basically a more advanced filters system, and Cinematic mode, at least in its first implementation, feels a little rough around the edges. The new cameras and software generally live up to expectations but could use some polish.
